Summer Reggaefest

Shiloh PR was appointed to carry out specialist public relations service for the musical event which took place at the Wembley Arena in London. 

Summer Reggaefest featured some of the genres biggest reggae stars  including, Shabba Ranks, Maxi Priest, Barrington Levy and Cocoa Tea and took place on International Reggae Day.

The Project: 

In order to accommodate the different requirements for each artist, we adopted various approaches to focus on different audience segments, based on the artists’ fan base. 

What we did: 

  • Shiloh PR created and circulated numerous press releases
  • Coordinated broadcast, print and online media interviews
  • Added concert information to appropriate listing sites
  • Coordinate media accreditation list

Results:

Widespread coverage in music publications, media aimed at BAME audiences and interviews with the performers on radio stations across the UK.

Patti LaBelle

Great Voices of Soul

Shiloh PR was appointed as the lead agency responsible for publicity for the Great Voices of Soul tour, headlined by the legendary Patti LaBelle.

The tour, which covered shows in London, Manchester and Birmingham, featured performances from a stellar selection of Soul music legends including The Whispers, Soul II Soul, The SOS Band and more.  

What we did: 

Partnering with another agency, Shiloh PR focused its efforts on reaching specialist media outlets.

Activity included:

  • Writing, distribution and follow up of a series of press releases ahead of the event
  • Accompanying musicians to live media interviews when they arrived in the UK
  • Facilitating live and pre recorded media interviews in advance of the event
  • Adding event details to relevant specialist music listing sites

Results included

  • Radio interviews with artists on local stations in London, Birmingham, Manchester and their surrounding areas
  • Coverage in specialist music digital and print outlets

One Love Peace Festival

Jamaica celebrated its 50th Independence in August 2012.  The year was a momentous period for Jamaicans in the UK, with London, the UK’s capital playing host to the Olympics.   

Leading up to the Independence celebrations, the One Love Peace Festival was held, featuring a raft of prominent artists such as Busta Rhymes, Sean Paul, Shaggy and Ky-Mani Marley.

The Project  

As specialists in targeting multicultural audiences, Shiloh PR was appointed by the founders of the One Love Peace Festival to complement the work of a mainstream agency by focusing on a specialist audience.

What we did:  

Shiloh PR provided targeted publicity support for the event. Our objective here was to specifically reach dedicated reggae and hip hop music fans, and black audiences in particular.

Activity included:

  • Writing, distribution and follow up of a series of press releases ahead of the event
  • Blogger outreach
  • Writing artist biographies for the official website
  • Providing editorial features for international magazines, newspapers and online sites
  • Organising press accreditation for over 100 media personnel
  • Backstage media room management

Results included

  • Digital coverage secured in travel, event and business sector media
  • Successfully securing over 70 media interviews for artists and event organisers
  • Specialist media digital coverage
